BRAKE UPGRADE ADVICE

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions before selecting a performance brake upgrade.

How can I check if a big brake kit fits my wheels?
Check wheel diameter, width, offset (ET), spoke shape and the manufacturer’s clearance template where available. Wheel size alone is not enough. Ask us for guidance before purchasing.
Is a bigger brake disc always better?
Not necessarily. Pad compound, heat management, caliper design, tyres and your driving style also affect braking performance. Choose the system that suits the vehicle and its use.
Which brake pads are suitable for road and track use?
Pad compounds have different temperature ranges and noise characteristics. Track-focused pads may perform poorly when cold and can be unsuitable for everyday road driving.
Do I need spacers or different wheels?
Some upgrades require additional caliper clearance. Whether wheel spacers or different wheels are appropriate depends on the complete wheel, brake and vehicle setup; confirm safety and legal requirements.
Can I order based only on the vehicle model?
The vehicle selector narrows the catalog, but model variants can have different factory brakes. Compare the full product specification and verify compatibility before buying.
Who should install my brake upgrade?
Have safety-critical braking work completed and inspected by a qualified professional. Follow the product manufacturer’s installation and bedding-in instructions.
