04 / EXPERT BUYING GUIDE

Choosing Endless brake pads for your car

Endless manufactures performance brake pad compounds for daily driving, track days and professional motorsport. Each formulation balances cold response, initial bite, pedal modulation, brake temperature and wear characteristics differently. Use the filters above to compare the manufacturer's published friction coefficient (μ) and temperature range where specified.

For road-biased driving, compare MX87 for rapid response at lower temperatures, MX72 for powerful fast-road versatility, MX72-PLUS for increased high-temperature capability, and SSM-PLUS for reduced dust and noise. Heavier track cars, endurance applications and carbon-ceramic rotors need a different selection process.

Once you have a compound shortlist, find the correct Endless part number for your specific vehicle, caliper, axle and rotor type. Compounds do not correspond one-to-one with pad-shape SKUs. Browse our catalog or contact KillerBrakes for fitment guidance.

Common questions

What is the difference between Endless MX72 and MX87?

MX87 emphasizes faster initial response at lower temperatures, while MX72 is a fast-road compound with broad high-temperature capability. Both have published ranges reaching 700°C; choose based on response, driving style and specific fitment rather than the maximum figure alone.

Should I choose MX72-PLUS for road and track?

MX72-PLUS has a published 50–750°C range and greater initial bite and temperature resistance than MX72. It is a manufacturer-described dual-use option, but final suitability depends on vehicle and circuit conditions.

Can standard Endless pads be used on carbon-ceramic discs?

Do not assume so. Endless publishes a separate CCM-specific range (CCD-A, CCD-P and CCD-R). Confirm the rotor material, exact application and matching compound before purchase.

Does a higher friction coefficient always mean better braking?

No. Friction varies with conditions, and results also depend on tyres, ABS, brake balance, disc temperature and caliper setup. The published μ range is a technical reference, not a stopping-distance ranking.

Are all motorsport brake pads suitable for public roads?

No. Dedicated racing compounds may require operating temperatures or procedures unsuitable for road driving. Check local road-use approvals and Endless guidance for the specific compound and application.
